Software Engineer(NOV21- Present)

·Designated lead on “Innovation Lab” projects, focusing on rapid prototyping and exploration of Minimum Viable Products in new technologies.

·Assisted and mentored more junior developers as they waited to be placed out on other contracts.

·Experience with leading both new greenfield projects and taking over abandoned/nonfunctional legacy projects to bring them up to current standards.

Techops Team Lead(2019- Present)

· Designated Lead Developer on all Ad Hoc and long-term software projects.

· Developed Java software to replace legacy Bash scripts and C# programs, and wrote C# updates to programs.

· Developed software with a biometrics focus, working with Open Source projects such as OpenCV for facial detection and facial recognition.

· Used SonarQube to assist with code quality, and performed code review for the team of developers.

· Implemented Git VCS for the team using GitLab, handling all code merging  and branch pull requests.  Used GitLab’s CI/CD tools to deliver updates to deployed projects.

Wizard’s Age Studios, 2020

· Developed, shipped, and maintained a mobile Android game, using Google APIs for metrics and services in Java.

Mega-Cat Studios, 2018 - 2019

· Wrote C and 6500 assembly code to develop new games for the Nintendo Entertainment System.  Wrote code and collaborated with other team members.


Bastrop Independent School District, 2015 - 2019

Senior Network Infrastructure Technician (2015- 2019)

· Handled Helpdesk and Network Operations duties while providing reliable network communications to 18 remote sites, over 1000 staff members and over 10,000 students.

· Designed, implemented, and managed a robust alerting and monitoring system utilizing SolarWinds and custom-written Slack integrations for real-time alerting on vital network and infrastructure equipment.

· Developed custom Python tools to automate common Network Administration and Network Analysis tasks, and to interface with legacy equipment over serial connections. 

· Responsible for managing, configuring, and troubleshooting network switches.

United States Army, 2010 - 2015

System/Network Administrator (2013- 2015)

· As part of a small select cohort, participated in a 6 week intensive course of study and job-training in partnership with Microsoft, the Microsoft Software & Systems Academy, focusing on C#, Visual Basic, and the .NET framework.

· Handled Helpdesk, Network Operations, and System Administration duties while working with a small team in Afghanistan.  A team of six soldiers provided phone and data services to over 3000 American and coalition-forces users, and 1800 devices.

· Worked with Active Directory on a daily basis to manage users and devices.

· Consistently adapted to ever-changing wartime environment network and user requirements.  Together with the team, quickly developed innovative and effective solutions to emergent problems.

· Responsible for the operation and maintenance of 120 switches, eight routers, and six servers spread throughout the Forward Operating Base.

Satellite Communications Operator/Maintainer (2010 - 2012)

· Responsible for operating quad-band Satellite Antenna equipment to provide a data-link for voice and data services in a tactical setting.

· Experience providing no-fail communications services in garrison and field environments.

· Served as a Team Leader, taking accountability and supervision of soldiers, as well as taking responsibility for their mentoring, training, and discipline.
